I love that when I do others makeup it makes their day..makeup really can brighten a persons day! So I want to start doing a weekly makeup tip and feature product. Best week EVER!!

I had the best week ever this week! Sunday through Tuesday I was still on vacation in the Bahamas. These are some pics of my precious husband and his prize bonefish. I am so sick of hearing about bonefish but am so happy that he had fun... This is my most favorite picture, he had just hung his first bonefish! How precious??
Once we returned from vacation I relaxed and then this weekend I had a blast spending time with my husbands family. We were at Shane's grandmothers this weekend when I took this picture. It really made me smile because not many people are fortunate enough to have a "Daddy Rich." He still absolutely adores these boys and came swimming with us. They played and played like they were teenagers and he was still 30! Oh how grateful we are.

Then on Saturday I ran the Loop the Lake with Kim and Nicky! So good to see them. I told Nicky how happy I was that he was blogging now.

Now I am on the couch watching True Blood = Best show ever! Oh I love my life! Praise Jesus!

Great Exuma Islands- Rhodes/Joyner Vacation

AMAZING...thats what this place is! Shane and I left last Friday morning with a great couple friend (Greg and Katie Joyner) and headed to the Great Exuma Island, Bahamas. We were so excited about going and getting to spend time together, and the guys were even more excited because the were getting to go BONEFISHING. We knew this place was going to be pretty but we did not expect it to be PERFECT! We had butler's wait on us hand and foot....can you say HEAVEN. Here are some pics, hope you enjoy!!

Greg, "Did I just get shat on?" The islanders said getting pooped on is a sign that money is coming your way!!

What the butlers would bring us on the beach. Margaritas and bud light, and around lunchtime they would bring sandwiches. The cell phone is our personal cell to our butler. Everyone at the resort has their own butler and it is their job to make you happy. It was weird at first, but after about 10 minutes I got used to it!

Isn't it Gorgeous!! We would lay on the beach until about one and then go get a cabana and a float and stay in the pool until about 6:30. The bartenders at the swim up bar knew us by name...:)

The ocean....the water is breathtaking.

I will post more pics tomorrow. The internet in good ole Pitts just can't handle too much! I highly recommend this place for a vacation spot. The guys can fish and the girls can relax. Katie and I had a spa day that was amazing. It is called Sandals Emerald Bay. It used to be the Four Seasons so you know its nice. The rates are really cheap right now because it just opened!

SNAKES!!

SNAKES!!

1.5ft Timber Rattlesnake...4 and 1/2 rattles!

Ok so you can see from my profile that I live in PITTS, GA. For those of you who don't know where that is...well its in the middle of NOWHERE, USA. We have no grocery store or stop light, but we do have an abundance of SNAKES! With my husband being a farmer, we live on the farm. We live in the middle of a 13 acre peacan orchard surrounded by fields. Well in fields you have mice, rabbits, and other small rodents and guess what most poisonous snakes diets consist of??? You got it mice and rabbits!
Well today while outside with my dog I walked up on this lovely creature...thank GOD I am used to it and calmly got my dog inside while one of the farm hands killed it! For those of you city slickers..this is about a 1 and 1/2 foot timber rattler!
Ok so my next blog just may be on how to tell the difference in poisonous and non-poisonous snakes...I promise not all snakes are bad...

Hoarders???

Ok I don't know about you guys but I am addicted to A&E!! I religiously tune in every Monday night for Intervention (the new season does not start until June 28th!). Tonight after the 2 reruns of Intervention I watched an episode of Hoarders and almost lost it! I have never been more disgusted in my life! This one lady had a dead, decaying cat in her home and didn't even know it. Sad thing is, most of these people really suffer from mental illnesses and have a very hard time parting with their hoarding. Tune in to hoarders on Monday nights at 10 and I promise you will feel much better about your cleaning tactics :) !

Swim + Bike + Run = ME

Hollie + Jenna = Triathletes!

This past Saturday Hollie and I became triathletes!!! (Wesley you are an honorary triathlete for all of your cheering, picture taking, loss of sleep, not trading in golf clubs, etc) We competed in the My First Triathlon at Lake Lanier Island. We swam 1/4 of a mile, bike 12 miles up some SERIOUS hills, and ran 3.1 miles. Hollie finished in 1:29 and I finished in 1:36 (the times in the pictures are not correct due to different start times for age groups!). I came in 16th out of 61 in my age group and 350th out of like 850 overall. Hollie finished 8th in our age group and 210th overall. She was also the 82nd runner out of all of the 850+ participants...basically she ROCKED it! We were very nervous but when it was over we felt GREAT. Big thanks to Wesley for going with us and supporting us! Another big thanks to Megan Wages for letting me use her bike...THANK YOU! Hope you enjoy the pics...I hope to upload video soon.

WARNING: MAKE UP AND HAIR PRODUCTS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT TRIATHLONS!

Its official we are triathletes!!

Swimming and biking.

I want to blog too!

I am definitely guilty of following the crowd on this one! Some of my friends have some great blogs and I just love reading them and I wanting to start one of my own! My name is Jenna Rhodes and I am a high school chemistry and biology teacher. I am married to Shane Rhodes who farms. We also have chicken houses...so life around here does not always smell like roses! We both went to UGA and then had a quick life in Lakeland, Florida.....now we are back in the lovely town of Pitts, Georgia. We have one child, our dog, Memphis ( a chocolate lab). Hope you enjoy my blog!
